Can you help us to improve the collection of equality data?
Collecting high quality comparable equality data is important as part of our tools to address inequality and ensure inclusive, accessible practice.
This month you could help us to improve the collection of equality data and have a chance to win a free consultancy with digital experts Superhighways.
We are asking for organisations to fill in our survey about how you collect information on disability, so that we can co-produce some suggested standards for collecting data on disability and impairment. You don’t have to be a disability focused organisation, we really want to find out from as many different types of organisation and group as possible.
All contributions will be put into a draw to win a free consultancy from small charity digital experts Superhighways for dedicated one-to-one advice on a topic of your choice such as reviewing your website, choosing a database or making the most of Office 365.
Please click this link to find out more information about the project and the survey.
Please respond by 16th May.
Insights from civil society
Volunteering @ the Heart of Civil Society
At the end of 2018, we were approached by Karen Chilman at Croydon Volunteer Centre who was frustrated that smaller charities were not able to access the huge amount of experience and know-how that existed within local volunteer centres. We partnered with Croydon Volunteer Centre and other organisations to create an affordable conference for small charities to share volunteer management best practice. Read about it in our latest blog.

Although 48% of London’s residents are recorded as BAME, the data does not adequately represent the many different communities that make up London’s population. Sign up to our advocating for data event to discuss issues relating to data that represents London’s diverse communities.
