Social prescribing conference
Wednesday 19 – Thursday 20 May
The fifth International Social Prescribing Conference will focus on innovation in social prescribing. Discounts are offered for voluntary sector organisations and social prescribing link workers. Social Prescribing Awards winners will also be announced (see below).
Social prescribing awards
The 2024 Social Prescribing Awards recognises and celebrates the wealth of innovative social prescribing projects in the UK and internationally. You can nominate projects or teams by Friday 10 May.
Community Connectors
Wednesday 1 May
The National Academy for Social Prescribing are hosting an event to explore the role of connectors. Connectors are individuals within communities who signpost friends, family, colleagues, and strangers to places where they can find support. Connectors can play a crucial role in helping people, and can be trained to let people to know to access their local social prescribing link worker.
Wellbeing & creativity
London Wellbeing & Creativity Week is happening on 20-24 May. Performing Medicine are inviting London’s link workers and primary care health workforce to an afternoon of creativity.
Cancer and social exclusion
Friday 17 May
This event will explore the social, economic, and commercial determinants of health and the impact of inequality and social exclusion on cancer screenings, diagnosis, care, treatment, and outcomes.
Kew Gardens
Kew Gardens is offering free entry and activities for community groups during the week of 22-26 May.

Z2K are currently accepting referrals for claimants in Greater London who are on a low income and need assistance with Personal Independent Payment form completions Work Capability Appeals.

Pinhole are holding events based in Enfield but open to everybody to join. Learn how to create your own photographs using a special camera from upcycled materials.
